               music is one of my most intimate love languages 🌷

as a practicer of many creative mediums, music holds such a close place in every hidden corner of my world. when I was young, in dance I trained to hear every layer and nuance of a song, to feel the emotions deep within me and convey them to an audience. this was the first layer of my connection to music. 

then came my true emotional connection. in college, during my very first summer away from my hometown, I was lost. when I was consumed with loneliness and struggled to find myself, music was my best friend. it gave me a way to really learn about and begin to know myself, so I could truly start to love myself! ✿

since I hold my music so closely, there was a time when it was difficult for me to share it with others because it was such a vulnerable part of myself. but now, sharing it and connecting to others through it is one of my biggest love languages and greatest prides. I love reflecting on the time where I was when I was obsessed with a certain song or analyzing the reason a lyric or melody strikes my emotions so powerfully. and I want to share this joy with everyone!

today, I am an avid monthly playlist maker and certified radio show host. my music is a diary of my life — of who I was, who I am, and who I will grow to be.
