Sammy (she/they) is a latinx mixed media artist , filmmaker and houseless rights advocate from Queens, New York. Currently their focuses are on channeling social justice and art together through community outreach. Music being the backbone of community and driving our connections to each other, is a critical part of Sammy's artistic process. They are in their final year at USF, majoring in Media and minoring in Film Studies. She is continuing to build her own community through creative pursuits and collaborations. Their art has always been a reflection of inner self love, lessons and child like play. With mediums like photography, graphic design, collages and more she experiments with blurring the lines between the physical and virtual worlds of art. Urging us to experience with her through her art, DJing is a new way for them to connect to more people.
